En la madrugada del lunes 13 de abril, efectivos del Batall\u00f3n \u00abUruguay IV\u00bb, desplegado en la Rep\u00fablica Democr\u00e1tica del Congo, fueron movilizados para brindar apoyo a la Unidad de Bomberos de la MONUSCO en las tareas de respuesta de emergencia tras un incendio<\/strong> ocurrido en el barrio Virunga, en la ciudad de Goma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aproximadamente a las 01:00 horas, el Batall\u00f3n despleg\u00f3 dos camiones cisterna, suministrando un total de 36.000 litros de agua para sostener las operaciones de extinci\u00f3n del incendio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paralelamente, se moviliz\u00f3 una Fuerza de Reacci\u00f3n R\u00e1pida en la zona afectada, con el objetivo de garantizar un entorno seguro para los bomberos, permitiendo as\u00ed la continuidad ininterrumpida de las operaciones de emergencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nuestros Cascos Azules junto al equipo de bomberos, permanecieron trabajando en el lugar hasta cerca de las 04:00 horas, momento en el que el incendio fue controlado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Esta acci\u00f3n pone de manifiesto la capacidad de reacci\u00f3n inmediata del Contingente Nacional y su permanente compromiso con el mandato de la MONUSCO, orientado a la protecci\u00f3n de civiles y al apoyo de las comunidades locales. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
